GO Conference Update - October 26-30th

70+ people from Western Canada, including 4 DTS groups (Vancouver, Turner Valley, Blackfalds and Saskatoon) gathered together last week in Central Alberta for the 5th ever GO Conference.

Our time was filled with workshops, students and staff/alumni tracks, evening sessions, worship and intercession. It was an amazing time learning about frontier missions, the unreached and God's heart for the world. Thanks to all who prayed for our time together and for safety traveling to and from Alberta as well. Much appreciated!!!

The Flame Goes Forward - 50 Years Of YWAM

The year 2010 marks the 50th anniversary of YWAM!

Join us as we celebrate five decades of what God has done
in and through Youth With A Mission around the world. YWAM's international founders, Loren and Darlene Cunningham, will join us in two locations in Canada to celebrate and to remember what God has done in YWAM in Canada through the years. Celebrations will take place in Western Canada and in Eastern Canada. (September 2010 - TBA)

In each location the anniversary will be celebrated through a three-day event. The 50th Anniversary Gathering will be a time for YWAM alumni, friends, students and staff to look at the past, rejoice in the present and look ahead to the future.

Come, join us
for all or part of this three-day event. Meet with old friends and make new friends who share the same heart for Jesus, missions, and the world. E-mail us: YWAM50Canada@gmail.com

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Transformational DTS Goes After The Real Fruit

We are excited to announce that on September 22, 2009 our brand new "Transformational DTS" kicked off in Vancouver, British Columbia with 9 eager students coming from all over the world.

A DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOL (DTS) is an intensive Christian training course. It begins with a three month lecture phase followed by a 8-12 week outreach. This TDTS is designed to encourage students in personal character development, to cultivate a living relationship with God and to identify their unique individual gifts and callings in God. Cross-cultural exposure and global awareness are special emphases throughout the course, preparing the students to reach current and future generations and answer the call to...

"Go into all the world and disciple all nations" - Matthew 28:19.

During DTS outreach, teams are sent out on a 8-12 weeks field assignment for a cross-cultural situations. The emphasis is on the application of principles taught in the DTS lecture phase.
